The quarterly Social Psychology is the official journal of the Polish Society of Social Psychology
covering broadly understood social psychology. Apart from pure experimental social psychology the journal
is open to an interdisciplinary research concerning human being in social environment (i.e. sociology, biology,
neuroscience and cognitive science). The editorial committee has ambition to overcome long held schism between
'psychological social psychology' and 'sociological social psychology'.
The journal is open to polemical debates between representatives of different theoretical and methodological
schools concerning human being in social environment.
Social Psychology publishes:
- original empirical articles
- original theoretical articles
- original review articles
- organized forms of discussion on various topics
- key articles for psychological theory or methodology of science with critical commentaries of experts
- diagnostic tools of social psychology (both original and adapted research techniques)
- short research reports
- polemics
Selected issues of Social Psychology can be endowed with monographic character.
In such a case issue is edited by the guest editor.
The quarterly Social Psychology is the first psychological journal in Poland
which is fully peer - reviewed online ahead of print. Potential authors and referees are asked to log
on the journal's website and give their names, addresses and e-mails. Referees are also asked to
determine their areas of scientific interest in which they can produce a peer review.
