Defending the role of one's own morality evaluation
Dariusz Doliński
Warsaw School of Social Psychology, Wrocław Faculty
Abstract |
Wojciszke and Baryła argue that the evaluation of one's own morality has a minimal
impact on his or her global self-esteem. I suggest that the empirical evidence
presented by the authors may be interpreted in a different way. In my opinion,
a positive evaluation of one's own morality is necessary for a human being to obtain
a high level of global self-esteem.
Key words: morality, self-esteem, social judgments
